Can I claim?

(For applications submitted on or before 13 March 2020)

Can I claim for Coronavirus (COVID-19)…

If I have tested positive for Coronavirus?

If a Member has tested positive for coronavirus, we would consider a claim.

If I am self-isolating due to symptoms which could potentially be coronavirus?

If a Member has symptoms and has been told to self-isolate because of Government or medical advice, then a claim will be considered, subject to the contract terms and conditions

Can I claim for Coronavirus (COVID-19)…

If I have tested positive for Coronavirus?

If a Member has tested positive for coronavirus, you will not be able to claim on contracts with Day 1 cover or 1 week deferred periods.

This exclusion will apply to only the first four weeks of incapacity due to COVID-19/ Coronavirus and respiratory tract infections. If the incapacity extends beyond 4 weeks then a claim for COVID-19/ Coronavirus and respiratory tract infections will be considered.

If I am self-isolating due to symptoms which could potentially be coronavirus?

If a Member has been told to self-isolate because of Government or medical advice, then a claim will not be considered on contracts with Day 1 cover or 1 week deferred periods.

If my child or family member has tested positive for coronavirus?

If a Member is forced to self-isolate because a child or family member has tested positive, then a claim would not be considered.

If my place of employment closes and I am unable to attend my place of work?

If a Member’s place of employment closes and they are unable to attend their place of work, then a claim would not be considered.
